The EZLink® tabs serve as a secondary locking mechanism to capture the adapter in case of accidental uncoupling under pressure. The system includes designed vent paths to help control the direction of venting media. Additionally, EZ Boss-Lock cam arms provide an additional level of safety and compatibility with all standard cam and groove adapters.
In the event of accidental disconnection under pressure, the venting feature retains the coupling and allows the stored pressure to vent off. This safety venting feature doesn't require a special adapter to work as a system. The system is resistant to accidental disconnection when dragged because the release lever opens in the direction opposite to the cam arm, so movements that tend to open the release lever also tend to close the cam arm. The rotating action helps keep the locking device free of debris, and it is designed to protect critical parts from impact and withstand rugged use.
To make a connection, simply slide the adapter into the coupler and with normal hand pressure, press the cam levers down. Uncoupling is just as quick and simple as coupling—just lift the cam arms and remove the adapter. There’s no more fumbling with clamps, wire, clips, or pins—simply close the handles and the locking mechanism is engaged. The release lever is ergonomic and easy to use, positioned under your thumb when you need to open the fitting.
