DEPEND ON EFFICIENT PERFORMANCE. DEPEND ON U.S. TSUBAKI CAM CLUTCHES.

When your applications require torque in one direction of rotation, and overrun in the opposite direction, Cam Clutches from U.S. Tsubaki make the perfect upgrade. Our complete line of Tsubaki drive components set the standard for higher overrunning speeds, greater torque capacities, and longer service life, to name a few.

From compressors and conveyors, to packaging machinery and pumps, you can find Tsubaki Cam Clutch products in harsh applications across industries.

Rely on Tsubaki Cam Clutches for three basic modes of operation, and Applied® for a variety of products that fall into the three most common types of applications, as outlined below:

BACKSTOPPING

In backstop applications – clutches help prevent reverse rotation of drive shafts – due to the automatic engagement of the clutch. Without this damage to equipment may occur. Typically this is used in conveyor systems and gear reducers.

OVERRUNNING

Clutches lock up and drive when necessary, and automatically adjust speeds in applications with an electric or geared motor. When driven at low speed, the clutch engages; when faster the clutch overruns to switch between low and high speeds.

INDEXING

In indexing applications – reciprocating motion applied to the clutch transforms into one-direction motion. The clutch drives in the forward stroke (index) and overruns on the return – indexing the feeding roller forward.
