• PETRO-TAPE is a rugged, inert and highly resistant tape. It's impervious to steam, saltwater, air, fuels, refrigerants, acids and alkalis (including sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric, sodium hydroxide and chromic), solvents (including kerosene, aircraft oils, gasoline, diesel, carbon tet. and cleaning fluids), gases (including liquid and gaseous oxygen, ammonia, freon, chlorine, propane, natural gas, butane, acetylene and nitrogen). PETRO-TAPE is ≥3 mil thick and contains a light green pigment for easy identification. Heavy duty – ideal for multi-purpose connections. PETRO-TAPE is easy, quick and clean to use. Just wrap one turn of tape around the pipe, stretch it to break and join. There is no need to wait. Once assembled, the joints are immediately ready for pressure testing or service. Future disassembly is quick and easy. It will not drip, run or dry out. It is ready for instant use, now or years from now, as it keeps its protective qualities indefinitely.
