description
- Body Hammers are drop forged from high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and have tempered heads. They have a burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), and Hickory wooden handles or cushion grip fiberglass handles. The hammer was one of the basic hand tools around which the body and fender repair trade was developed. The vertical chisel shrinking hammer has extra wide faces that are cross grooved and used for shrinkage on large surfaces—vertical chisel end used on sharp corners. Round face—1 ½” diameter. Chisel—5 ½” long.
