• Body Hammers are drop forged from high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and have tempered heads. They have a burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), and Hickory wooden handles or cushion grip fiberglass handles. The hammer was one of the basic hand tools around which the body and fender repair trade was developed. The high crown cross peen finishing hammer is ideal for forming radiuses, contours and curves—restoration, bike tank. High Crown face—1 9/8” diameter, 2 ¼” radius. Peen end 3/16” X1. 5” overall head length. 12” handle.
