- Flare Nut wrenches are drop forged from steel bar. These wrenches are available in fractional sizes only from 3/8” through 1-1/2”. They come in a Chrome or Industrial Black finish. Flare nut wrenches are similar to box end wrenches, except they do not completely encircle the nut. They are special purpose single end wrenches designed for use on flare nuts and fittings on tubing assemblies primarily for hydraulic, pneumatic and air conditioning equipment. The 12 point hex open box slips over the tubing. The thick head face helps to prevent the marring of fittings.
