- Hand Drilling Hammers are drop forged high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and tempered heads. Available in head weights of 2, 3 and 4 pounds, with burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), “Second Growth” Hickory wooden handles. These special purpose hammers are designed for use with chisels, punches, star masonry and/or rock drills and hardened nails. Their design permits the delivery of heavy blows with limited swing.
