• Solid Punches are drop forged, heat treated, quenched and tempered carbon steel construction. Available in 3/32”, 1/8”, 3/16”, ¼” and 5/16” point sizes. These are general purpose hand tools with a sharp tapered point designed for starting holes in metal or other material softer than itself when struck with a hammer. The solid punch is generally used as a starting punch for the initial loosening of frozen pins, keys, etc.
