description
- Radial shaft seals are used between rotating and stationary machine components, or between components in relative motion. The seals have an outer covering of steel or elastomer, designed to fit the housing bore. The sealing lip is made of elastomer or thermoplastic for best sealing against the rotating shaft. A garter spring in the seal optimizes the sealing against the shaft.
